Cortney Muldoon
Founder & Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Cortney grew up in Minot, Maine, where her love of caring for others began early, whether tending animals on her family farm or helping neighbors. Guided by her parents’ belief that “if you don’t like something, fix it,” she carried that mindset into her career in healthcare.
In 2021, Cortney opened Live Life Family Practice in South Paris, Maine, with one mission: to put patients back at the center of care. Her vision is rooted in “old-school medicine” and in relationship-based direct care from a primary care provider who puts people, not insurance companies, first.
Education & Training
Cortney obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Saint Joseph’s College in 2010. As a registered nurse, she cared for patients across Central and Southern Maine in hospital and outpatient settings that included:
- Medical-surgical units
- Neurosurgical and cardiac care
- Elementary schools
- Intensive care unit
In 2016, Cortney completed her Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) degree at Saint Joseph’s College and began practicing in Central Maine. While she built strong relationships with patients, she also saw firsthand how healthcare often prioritized systems over people. This inspired her to establish her own practice where patients come first.
Outside the Office
When she’s not caring for patients, Cortney enjoys running, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. She is passionate about building lasting relationships with the people she serves and would love the opportunity to care for you and your family.
Kaci McPherson
Family & Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (FNP, WHNP)
Kaci McPherson is a dual-certified Nurse Practitioner in both Family Practice and Women’s Health. Originally from Texas, Kaci recently relocated to Maine after following her husband while he served in the U.S. Army. She is thrilled to join Live Life Family Practice.
Kaci values transparency and honesty. She provides a warm approach that puts the patient at the center of their health care choices. Kaci is passionate about evidence-based preventative medicine and would love the opportunity to care for you and your family.
Education & Training
Kaci began her nursing career in 2007, obtaining her Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) from Central Texas College, where she later got her Registered Nurse (RN) in 2012. She gained experience in internal medicine, dialysis, and family practice before spending two and a half years in the ER of a Level 3 Trauma Center in NC, where she also served as a sexual assault nurse examiner.
In 2016, Kaci obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Fayetteville State University and worked as a nurse educator, providing in-home education to military families at risk for family violence and neglect. During this time, Kaci found her “why” for becoming an NP. She saw the shortcomings in medicine and wanted to be part of the solution — a provider who could empower patients to take control of their healthcare needs.
She went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing with a major in Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) from Frontier Nursing University in 2020, followed by a post-graduate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification in 2023. Afterwards, she worked for a large high acuity health care system in OB/GYN and primary care settings, treating both chronic and acute care diagnoses.
Outside the Office
Kaci enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. When not at work, she can be found volunteering with her children’s Cub Scout pack or attending one of their sporting events. She is an avid reader and loves to research.
